Waiting for Spring

It is supposed to be here already, isn't it? After all, I realized today that we have almost reached the halfway point in the month of April. Two days ago, however, sleet was pounding our windshield as we drove to dinner with the visiting grandparents. We remain hopeful, however, as rumors abound that the temperature will climb to 60+ this week. Corrie has begun to take great joy in spotting robins.

While we practice patience, we sit in the house and try on hats. Wes is unsure that this thing called "warmth" really does exist. He has seen very little of it during the span of his life thus far. Jack, however, seems confident that sunny days will indeed come.

We are waiting, too! Today the high here is supposed to be 74, although it is so windy, it's not really enjoyable. I do like getting to see the sun, though. We have a lot of robins, too, and our kids enjoy pointing them out. Isaiah thinks every bird is a robin, though. :) As I told my sister-in-law, who moved here from Georgia in November - this is an abnormally long winter. Nobody likes to see snow in April (it snowed here on Saturday). And it's okay to have a desperate desire for warm weather at this time of year. We hope you guys get some, too!
